David J. Carroll and Kristen M. Oberg

Eileen and Robert S. Oberg Jr. of Kenmore announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen M. Oberg, to David J. Carroll, son of Gail and David M. Carroll of Pendleton.

Miss Oberg graduated from Kenmore West High School in 1999. She received a degree in secondary education and English from Canisius College in 2003 and a master's degree in literacy learning and instruction from the University at Buffalo in 2006. She is an English teacher at Kenmore West High School.

Her fiance graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1995. He is a financial adviser with MetLife.

A July 2008 wedding is planned.
