Joshua R. Wopperer and Laura K. Drum

Dorea K. and Tommy Dale Drum of Lincolnton, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura K. Drum, to Joshua R. Wopperer, son of Natalie and Robert Wopperer of Amherst.

Miss Drum graduated from Lincolnton High School in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006. She is a communications consultant for the internal audit division of Wachovia Bank.

Her fiance graduated from Williamsville South High School in 1994. He attended the University of Dayton and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Canisius College in 1998. He is a technology project manager.

A September 2007 wedding is planned.
