Sean G. Trapp and Elena R. Osterreicher

Julia White of Clarence and Mickey H. Osterreicher of East Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Elena Rebecca Osterreicher, to Sean Gary Trapp, son of Patricia and Gary Trapp of Rochester.

Miss Osterreicher is a graduate of Williamsville East High School. She received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. She is a process engineer for Chevron and is currently on international assignment in Kazakhstan.

Her fiance received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from St. John Fisher College and a master's degree in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a chemist for Theravance, a biopharmaceutical company in South San Francisco.
