• The Buffalo Choral Arts Society will hold auditions for all voice parts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at St. Joseph's University Church, 3275 Main St., at Winspear Avenue, Buffalo. For an audition time, call Nancy Cannizzaro at 847-6930 during business hours or 856-1357 e venings.

• The Freudig Singers of Western New York will hold auditions for all voice parts for its 2007-2008 season. The chamber choir performs classical and contemporary choral literature and is directed by Roland E. Martin. To arrange an audition time, call 667-7088.

• Starry Night Theatre will hold auditions for its annual production of "Night of the Living Dead," from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 3 and 4 at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda. Those auditioning will be asked to do cold readings from the script in a group setting. Twelve men, five women and 15 to 20 zombies are needed for the cast. No appointment is necessary.
