Singer accepted into prestigious academy Alexandra Keller, 17, of Kenmore, and formerly of Amherst, will attend her senior year at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where she will study vocal music. Considered one of the world's premier fine arts boarding schools, Interlochen's acceptance is based on Keller's accomplishments throughout the years. She has been a student at Nardin Academy for the past three years. She has performed with the Erie County Chorus, the Western New Regional Chorus of New York State School Music Association, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and the Vocal Music Workshop at University at Michigan. She is the daughter of Eric and Sandy Keller. Interlochen also accepted Austin Oprean, 14, for the next school year. He will study trombone at the academy. Austin is the son of Robin and Steven Oprean of Amherst. |
