UP TO THE CHALLENGE - Getzville native Ken Przybyla, center, took third place at the Valspar Paint Performance Challenge held on Aug. 14 at York University in Toronto, Canada prior to the Rogers Cup Tennis Masters Tournament. The contest, sponsored by Valspar Paint, is scheduled to take place in the nine different cities that host a US Open Series Lever 2000 Challenge event. Six targets are set up on the court and contestants have 60 seconds (30 for the forehand and 30 for the backhand) to hit as many targets as possible. By the end of the day, Przybyla was one of the top six finalists and played on Centre Court. In the finals, Przybyla hit nine targets, just missing out on winning the grand prize, a paid trip to the US Open. Also pictured are his daughters, Kathryn, far left, and Kristin, both of Getzville.
