UB Stadium to get new videoboard

With the 2007 season rapidly approaching, fans at UB Stadium will have more to enjoy than just the action on the field as a new visual experience will grace the home of the Bulls.

The Division of Athletics will be installing a ProStar VideoPlus display provided by Daktronics, which will allow fans at UB Stadium to see live action, replays and features. The board will also be used to showcase the talents of all of UB's student athletes as well as the University at athletic events.

"We are grateful to President Simpson and our campus facilities for helping us upgrade our scoreboard, which we have had since UB Stadium was built," said UB Director of Athletics Warde Manuel. "After 14 years the board we had was out of date and we feel that these new boards will greatly enhance our fans experience at events in UB Stadium."

The new fixture will measure 22 x 21 in size and will be slightly larger than the old board in the stadium. In addition, two fascia boards will be installed this week which will provide score, down and distance and time remaining. The video board installation will be completed by the end of August.
