Robert H. Borschel, 80, of Williamsville, a retired machine repairman at the Chevrolet Tonawanda Foundry, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007.

Mr. Borschel worked 30 years at the Chevrolet Tonawanda Factory, retiring in 1985.
He also worked part-time in the University at Buffalo Nuclear Medicine Department.
Mr. Borschel was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, a past commander of American Legion Post 838, a member of Harvey Crosby VFW Post 2472 and a past chairman of United Auto Workers Retired Chapter 1173.
He donated 13 gallons of blood to the Red Cross before he was medically ineligible. In death, he became a transplant donor.
Mr. Borschel is survived by his wife, the former Doreen Schurkus; two daughters, Janice Grek and Lori Ropach; a son, Thomas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 18 from Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Arrangements were made by the Dengler and Roberts Funeral Home.
