Bride escor ted by parents

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Whitten

Melissa Stephania Pleban married Daniel Whitten in a late afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Aug.18, 2007 at Christ the King Chapel, Canisius College. The Rev. John Bucki officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy and Thomas Pleban of Amherst. The groom is the son of Deborah and William A. Whitten of Memphis, Tenn.

The bride was escorted by her mother and father.

The maid of honor was Kara Crickard, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Cindy Cashman, Carolyn Gullo, Nicole Lipp and Erin Duerr, friends of the bride.

The best man was Hugh Matthew Hatley, friend of the groom. The ushers were Stephen Whitten, brother of the groom; Jonathan and Brian Pleban, brothers of the bride; and Nik Hall, friend of the groom.

A reception was held at Fox Valley Club, Lancaster.

The couple are honeymooning in Hawaii.
