Ceremony held in Resurrection Church

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Makowski
Megan Sweet married Paul Makowski in a late afternoon ceremony on Friday, Aug. 17, 2007 at Resurrection Church. The Rev. Richard Zajac officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Karen and John Sweet of Lancaster. The groom is the son of Mary Ann Makowski of Cheektowaga and the late Leonard Makowski.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a mermaid-style gown with flowers and sequined detail and a shimmery, two-tiered fingertip length veil with sequins. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses and stephanotis.

The maid of honor was Bridget Sweet, sister of the bride, and the matron of honor was Kara Sweet Navratil, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Darlene Lelonek and Pam Ignaszak, sisters of the groom. The junior bridesmaids were Victoria Lelonek and Taylor and Kaitlyn Ignaszak, nieces of the groom.

The flower girl was Zoe Navratil, niece of the bride.

The best man was Jim Brydalski, friend of the groom. The ushers were Paul Lelonek, brother-in-law of the groom; Brendan Sweet, brother of the bride; and Tim Klima, friend of the groom.

The ring bearer was Peter Lelonek, nephew of the groom.

A reception was held at Kotecki's Grandview Grove, West Seneca.

The couple are honeymooning in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
