Out of the Past 125 Years Ago Aug. 24, 1882 Last Saturday morning as one of Poormaster Dauman's boys was passing John Snyder's store, Mr. Snyder informed him that a boy had arrived at his house in a nude condition. Young Dauman at once started for his father, who gathered up such garments as he could find. Upon his arrival, however, he found that the boy he had come to dress would have to stay with Mr. Snyder a number of years before he would fit the clothing he had with him. He also found that Mr. and Mrs. Snyder were already so deeply attached to the little stranger that they would not part with him.
