Family Medical Pharmacy recognized by state association

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York has selected Dennis C. Galluzzo as the recipient of the 2007 Bowl of Hygeia Award for outstanding community service.

The award was presented by a representative from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals at the association's annual meeting held at Fort William Henry Resort in Lake George earlier this summer.

Galluzzo is the executive director of the Pharmacists Association of Western New York and owner and supervising pharmacist of Family Medical Pharmacy. He is a member of the Specialized Medical Assistance Response Team, Allied Health Care Response Team, Western New York Adult Immunization Coalition, Erie County Board of Health and Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services Board.

The Bowl of Hygeia is the most widely recognized international symbol for the pharmacy profession and is considered its most prestigious award.
