SISTER ACT - The Amherst Skating Club was recently represented by Emma and Lisa Cercone at the BC Summer Challenge in the Finger Lakes from July 20 to 22. Emma Cercone, pictured right, is a sixth-grader at Mill Middle School while Lisa Cercone is in second grade at Maple West Elementary School. The competition was hosted by the BC Winter Club in Ithaca, N.Y. Numerous skating clubs were represented at this competition. Emma Cercone took first in free skate, juvenile and third in individual compulsory moves, juvenile. Lisa Cercone placed second in free skate, badge and third in individual compulsory moves, badge.
