Lasers 'A' roll to victory in Clarence 10U tournament

The Lou Gehrig Lasers 10A team went 5-0-1 in the Clarence Booster Club 10U fastpitch softball tournament to take the crown.
The Lasers used teamwork to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the semifinal
against Clarence and catapult the team into the championship game.
Sara Armstrong pitched solidly in five games and received tournament MVP award. Jamie Kenyon
and Meggie McFarland also contributed strong starting pitching
performances and each earned a victory. The Lasers got outstanding hitting from Katelyn Battaglia, Lauren Elliott and Maddi
Welch.
Laura Finley chipped in the game-winning RBI in the pivotal semifinal win against Clarence. Grace Kinerk delivered timely bunts and had eight stolen bases. Stellar defensive performances were turned in by Kelsey Irving and Katie Wolf.
Jordan Roetzer was flawless behind the plate and nailed three base runners at second. Jessica Gates came in from injured reserve to cheer the team on to victory.
