Williamsville district girls golf team sets starting date

The first practice of the Williamsville Central School District's girls golf team is 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27 at the Amherst Audubon Golf Course, 500 Maple Road.

All high school girls from Williamsville East, North and South who are interested must become eligible through their school's nurse's office. The hours for the high school nurse's offices are as follows:

East: Aug. 17, 20, 27; 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. North: Aug. 20 and 27; 8 to 11 a.m.

South: Aug. 17 and 20; 9 a.m. to noon

Seventh and eighth grade students must call District Athletic Director Dr. James Rusin's office at 626-8037 for eligibility information.

Last year was the first year for girls golf in Williamsville. The team welcomes golfers of all levels. Betsy Ulmer, Steve Delisanti and Bob Rosen will coach the team.
