Guidelines for sports

Bee Group Newspapers is establishing new guidelines for the submission of youth sports results.

The new guidelines go into effect with the editions dated Sept. 5 and 6, 2007.

Summaries of individual games are limited to a maximum of 100 words each.

For stories on tournaments that include multiple games, reports are limited to a total of 300 words.

The changes are being made in an effort to provide an equal amount of space to all teams. The Bee will make every effort to publish youth sports results the week they are received, but makes no guarantee as to the publication date.
