David M. Swiatek and Kimberly L. Piontkowski

Dawn M. Szabo of Tonawanda and Michael J. Piontkowski of North Tonawanda announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Lyn Piontkowski, to David Michael Swiatek, son of Deborah A. Swiatek of Amherst and Michael W. Swiatek of Parma Heights, Ohio.

Miss Piontkowski graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2001. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Buffalo State College in 2005 and a master's degree in early childhood education in 2007. She is a pre-kindergarten teacher at Edu-Kids in Buffalo, and also serves as a religious education instructor at St. Christopher's Church, Tonawanda.

Her fiance graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2001. He received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2005 and a master's degree in structural engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2007. He is a civil engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Buffalo. He is also a religious instructor at St. Christopher's Church.

An October 2007 wedding is planned.
