A 'Twist'ed musical

Starry Night Theatre Co.'s production of the musical "Oliver" ends this weekend at the Ghostlight Theatre in North Tonawanda. The musical is directed by Debby Koszelak Swartz and features Greg Blarr, Joann V. Mis, Jayson Clark and Jed Woomer.

"Consider Yourself " lucky if you get to the Ghostlight Theatre this weekend as Starry Night Theatre Co.'s 36th annual summer musical, "Oliver," concludes Aug. 19.

The musical by Lionel Bart and directed by Debby Koszelak Swartz is based on the Charles Dickens' classic novel, "Oliver Twist." It tells the story of an abandoned orphan in 19th century London who falls in with a gang of thieves. The production features Greg Blarr as Fagin, Joann V. Mis as Nancy, Jayson Clark as the Artful Dodger and Jed Woomer as Oliver Twist.

The musical features such memorable songs as "Oliver," "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love," "As Long as He Needs Me," and others.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 17 and 18, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St. in North Tonawanda. Tickets are $15 general and $13 for senior citizens and students, and can be reserved by calling 743-1614.
