16U CHAMPS - The Lou Gehrig Lasers beat the Wheatfield Hurricanes, 6-4, to win the 16U Metro championship. Key pitching came from Lauren Weber and Sam Frank to put the Lasers in the final. Outstanding defensive play throughout the season came from Stephaine Aichinger, Ali Gramza, Amanda Sheriff, Stephine Cutler and JoJo Bardak. The Lasers' hitting core came from Kate Verstreate, Sarah Morrison, Ashley Leo, Sarah Cavallari and Katie Bardak.
