Alzheimer's association accepting rummage sale donations The Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter, is taking a summertime tradition and turning it into a fundraiser, with proceeds going to provide programs and services to all eight counties of Western New York. The association will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Saturday, Aug. 18 in the association's parking lot at Wehrle Commons, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville. "The rummage sale is a great way for people to help donate to the Alzheimer's association, but at the same time, it is also a way for people to get rid of the unwanted things," said Linda Sabo, executive director of the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter. "We believe that this will be a successful fundraiser that will help us to continue to grow our programs and services." "We Care" Transportation will be picking up donations that are too large to be transported by donors. All other donations will be accepted until Friday, Aug. 17 at the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter office, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6. Clothing will be accepted only if it is clean and on hangers, and no mattresses or box springs will be accepted. No donations will be accepted the day of the event. For more information or to schedule a drop-off or pick-up of large items, call 626-0600. |
