Arrest made in daytime burglary A man whose address is listed as the City Mission in Buffalo has been charged with a daytime burglary that took place on Leonore Road on July 28. Assistant Chief Timothy Green said Lushawn Williams, 38, of "no permanent address" was charged with burglary in the second degree, a C-felony, and petit larceny. The arrest was made on Monday by Detective Michael Rose. According to Green, the arrest followed a police investigation. He said the department is looking into Williams' possible involvement in other burglary crimes. The burglary was reported on July 28 when a man entered the Leonore Road home in the middle of the day. The homeowner was working in the back yard around noon when the individual entered the house through an unlocked side door. The man's wife was in the basement and upon hearing footsteps went upstairs to find the suspect. He left on a bicycle. Jewelry, money and personal papers were reported missing at the time. |
