Higher Grounds will pour last cup of coffee

      With the naming of a new chief of police comes promotions through the ranks. At Monday's Amherst Town Board meeting, Stephen McGonagle was promoted to captain of the afternoon platoon. He had been serving as lieutenant of the afternoon platoon. McGonagle joined the department in 1987.
