Joanne Walter and Michael Ehman

Shirley and Michael Walter of West Seneca announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanne Walter, to Michael Ehman, son of Judy and Dale Ehman of Amherst.

Miss Walter graduated from West Seneca East High School in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education from Geneseo State College in 2004 and a master's degree in special education from Buffalo State College in 2007. She is a special education teacher at Kenmore West High School.

Her fiance graduated from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in 1998. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University at Buffalo in 2002 and a master's degree in secondary education from Niagara University in 2004.

He is a social studies teacher at Sweet Home Middle School.

A September 2007 wedding at St. Margaret's Church in North Buffalo is planned.
