Couple wed in garden ceremony

Lauren Elizabeth Scherer married Erik Stefan Reinert in a garden ceremony Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at the Sweet Briar Bed and Breakfast, Geneseo. The Rev. Deborah Roof officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Melanie and Donald Scherer of Amherst. The groom is the son of Mitzi Nevin of Quakertown, Pa. and Alan Reinert of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
She wore a tea-length organza gown that featured beaded appliques on a fitted bodice and was trimmed with an ivory satin ribbon. She wore a tulle veil in tiers to her waist. She carried a bouquet of wild flowers.
The matron of honor was Amy Scherer-Ivers, the bride's sister.
The best man was Cordell Wolking, the groom's friend.
John Conway Scherer, nephew and godson of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Sweet Briar Bed and Breakfast. The couple are on a honeymoon in northern Italy.
