Bride draws from heirloom gowns

Anne K. Simonson married Mark E. Jann in an afternoon ceremony Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College. The Rev. Walter Szczesny officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen A. Simonson of Amherst and Randall D. Simonson of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Barbara A. and Earl L. Jann Jr. of West Falls, N.Y.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
She wore an off-the-shoulder, A-line white satin gown with a chapel train. The gown featured embroidered pink beaded lace and pearls complemented with heirloom accents from her mother's and late grandmother's wedding gowns. Her three-tiered cathedral veil was accented with embroidered pearls and Swarovski crystals. She wore a tiara of tiny pink porcelain rosebuds, crystals and pearls and carried a bouquet of pink roses and stephanotis.
The matron of honor was Deanna L. Romito, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mary Margaret K. Kelsey, cousin of the bride, and Melissa A. Vanderwerf, friend of the bride.
The best man was Richard D. Sobon, friend of the groom. The ushers were Scott R. Simonson, brother of the bride, and Marc D. Harrishburg, friend of the groom.
A reception was held in the Delaware Park Casino, Buffalo. The couple are at home in Kenmore after honeymooning in Hawaii.
