Auditions

• The Playhouse of American Classics (PAC) will hold auditions for the 2007-2008 theater season from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Aug. 11 in the auditorium of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society Museum at 25 Nottingham Place at Elmwood Avenue. Actors are asked to bring a résumé and photo and to prepare two short monologues, one comedic and one dramatic, from plays by American authors. Call 862-9531 to schedule an audition time. The PAC will be in residence at the Historical Society for three plays this theater season. Terence McDonald, PAC's artistic director, will direct the three productions.

• The Kavinoky Theatre is currently accepting headshots and résumés for A. R. Gurney's "Crazy Mary." Sought are two Caucasian females (45-55), one African-American female (35-55), one Caucasian male (35-60) and one Caucasian male (19-25). • The Lancaster Opera House will hold auditions for "Stas & Stella's Wedding" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Lancaster Opera House, 21 Central Ave., Lancaster; casting actors and actresses from 21-60 years in various roles. Call 683-1776.
