ESG VETERANS WIN MEDALS - Amherst residents Craig Johnson, left, and Michael Nadrich competed in their seventh Empire State Games in the men's masters gymnastics competition this past week in Westchester County. Masters gymnastics consists of six individual events and all-around competition. Competing with over 40 gymnasts from all over New York State, Nadrich took gold on vault and still rings. Johnson repeated his performance from last year, taking silver on pommel horse and parallel bars. Nadrich is a coach and instructor with Stumpf's Gymnastics Center in Williamsville and Johnson is a police officer with the Amherst Police Department. Both have qualified for the 2009 State Games of America in Colorado Springs, Colo.
