WNY Elite 18U showcase team to hold tryouts
The WNY Elite 18U girls fastpitch softball college showcase team is holding tryouts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 and 8 at the Amherst Pepsi Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive. WNY Elite 18U just completed its first year of playing ASA Gold competition, finishing with a 54-15-3 record. They play a fall and summer schedule. The Elite is looking for girls who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school. Eight players from the team are attending college in the fall to continue their softball careers.
