Salvatore P. 'Sam' Costanzo owned janitorial business

Salvatore P. "Sam" Costanzo, 79, of East Amherst, who owned and operated Imperial Maintenance, a commercial janitorial business from 1963 until his retirement in 2005, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 in Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital.

Prior to owning his own business, Mr. Costanzo was a baker in the Costanzo Family Bakery started by his father, Antonio, from 1936 to 1965. He also was a truck driver for Paul's Pies.

Mr. Costanzo enjoyed going to casinos and was an avid card player and fan of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. He also bowled for years at St. Gregory the Great Church.

Mr. Costanzo is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years, Yolanda "Dolly" Morgante; two daughters, Phyllis Muraco and Angela Costanzo-Chiarmonte; a son, Sam; a sister, Ida Muscarella; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Amigone Funeral Home's Amherst Chapel, 5200 Sheridan Drive followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 250 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville.
