Bride wears veil made by grandmother

Mrs. Daniel Whelehan
Deirdre Carroll married Daniel Whelehan in an afternoon ceremony Saturday, July 28, 2007 at St. Amelia Church, Tonawanda.

The bride is the daughter of Ann and Robert Carroll of North Tonawanda. The groom is the son of Kathleen Whelehan of Batavia and James Whelehan of Penfield.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a veil made by her grandmother and carried a bouquet of white and ivory roses with pearl stephanotis.

The matron of honor was Cheri Alvarez, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Bridget and Caitlin Frohnapple and Carleen McCarthy, cousins of the bride; and Maura and Mary Claire Whelehan and Margaret Meyer, sisters of the groom.

The flower girl was Caleigh Alvarez, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Jay Whelehan, brother of the groom. The ushers were John and Thomas Whelehan, brothers of the groom; Robert and Bryan Carroll, brothers of the bride; and David Provenzo and Greg Savino, friends of the bride and groom.

A reception was held at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott. The couple will be at home in North Tonawanda after honeymooning in the Mayan Riviera.
