Republicans chose the right candidates

This year more than ever, I am most proud of the candidates the Republicans have endorsed for Amherst. They are knowledgeable, successful in their own careers, without private agendas and dedicated to holding the line on taxes and keeping Amherst affordable. Having Dr. Barry Weinstein, as a candidate for the Town Board should please every voter, as his staunch record of not raising taxes and his integrity are well known.

Dr. Mohan shares our Republican values. He sat one seat away from me as the committee cast our ballots for the Town Board. The committee endorsed two others who support our values that Dr. Mohan needs to accomplish his goals. We endorsed Snyder resident Guy Marlette and Deputy Supervisor Roy Wixson.

Guy Marlette is a savvy intelligent businessman with sincere convictions who has spent years quietly doing incomparable volunteer work with the Amherst Youth Board. He would win the congeniality award in any group or endeavor. His community efforts are flawless and reek of success and accomplishments.

Pleased with these choices I wrote to Dr. Mohan who replied, agreeing with my assessment, stating, " I have no problem with the three endorsements…"

Apparently Bill Kindel ignores reasonable term limits, which is an affront to every voter forcing a primary, avoiding judgment by his peers. Mark Klyzcek thinks he can leap into the primary race without needed skills or proven ability to usurp a spot on the Republican line. His warped thinking and foolish bragging of alleged support from Dr. Mohan, proves that Dr, Mohan does not know the truth of his inadequate work record that demonstrate he is not qualified and/or Dr. Mohan was lying to me in his e-mail of March 31, 2007.

I urge all voters to study the issues and candidates. Be sure to vote on Primary Day September 18, to ensure the qualified are representing you on Election Day.
