Tasty treats under the big tent
Take a bite out of a village when the 2007 Taste of Williamsville, Savor the Flavor, is held from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Island Park, behind the Village Hall, 5565 Main St.
Area restaurants will be serving tasty treats. Sample seafood kabobs, stuffed peppers, pizza, ice cream, eggplant parmesan, pods, steak skewers, tomato basil salad, mouth-watering bakery specialties and other tantalizing gourmet delights.
Seven new restaurants are included in this year's savory mix, which includes The Eagle House, Pizza Plant, Creekview, Hirsch's, Grill at Frog Hair, Village Desserts, LaTolteca, Go Veggies, Riva's, Brennan's, O Restaurant, Applebee's, Great Northern Pizza, Sorrentino's, DiCamillo Bakery, Gate House Grill, Sweet Jenny's Candy, Jenny's Ice Cream and Bing's.
Music during the Taste of Williamsville includes More Than Me (pop, reggae), noon-1:30 p.m.; Ken Licata (folk), 1:30-3 p.m.; Scott Celani (rock), 3-4:30 p.m.; The Headers (rock-a-billy), 4:30-5:30 p.m.; the Young Ambassadors Brass Band, 5:30-7 p.m.; and Terry Buchwald's tribute to Elvis, 7-9 p.m.
