Story Time with Miss Beth, 10:30 a.m. Mondays for toddlers and 11:30 a.m. Fridays for ages 3 to 5.

Amherst Battle of the Books Team is looking for sixththrough ninth-graders to join the team. The event culminates Aug. 4.

Nickel City Reptiles, present by Jeff Musial, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1

Prevention is Primary, for ages 5 and up, 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27. Stories and a craft to help children make healthy life choices.

Owls, for all ages, 7 p.m. Monday, July 30 with volunteers from Hawk Creek Wildlife Center will be on hand for demonstrations.

Native American Life and Lore, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 with a naturalist from the Buffalo Audubon Society who will bring Iroquois artifacts and teach games and tell stories.

Hat Day, for ages 2 ½ to 5, 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3

Chess Nuts, all ages, 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4

Dance-a-Mania, for ages 2 to 5, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25. Stories and a dance lesson.

Family Fun Night with Jeff Criden, storytelling for all ages, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31.

International Friendship Day, for ages 2 to 5, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1. Bring a friend and share in the friendship circle.

Volunteer opportunities, for book fair, good for high schoolers looking to get ahead on community service hours. Call 689-4922 ext. 17.
