Community News Rev. Michael Tunney, S.J. has been appointed rector of the Canisius College Jesuit community at Loyola Hall. He succeeds Rev. Patrick Lynch, who served for the past six years. St. Mary's Parish, 6919 Transit Road, Swormville is planning the second Parish Health Fair at 6919 Transit Road, Swormville. The fair is slated to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 in the Parish Center. Local health care agencies, facilities and services will be represented during the fair. This will be an opportunity for residents to be screened for certain health problems such as high blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and hearing or vision impairments. There is no cost to participate in the health fair, and a free continental breakfast and beverage will be available. For more information, call 741-4817. Dave Aston of Snyder has been named chairman of the eighth annual Golf Tournament to benefit Summit Educational Resources. He is the father of a Summit student. The sold-out event will be held on Aug. 6 at Lancaster Country Club.
