Bride escorted by late father's friends

Bethany Cross married Kevin Poppenberg on Saturday, July 21, 2007 in Orchard Park Community Church. The Rev. Kathryn Bindig officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Cross of Orchard Park and the late Daniel Cross. The groom is the son of Margaret Allessi of Celeron, N.Y., and Paul Poppenberg of Ocala, Fla.

The bride was escorted by her father's friends, James Jerose and Jay Michalski.

Kathryn Cross was maid of honor for her sister. The bridesmaids were Gillian Via, cousin of the bride, and Lindsey Robusto, Tamara Riggs and Kathy Gunning, friends of the bride.

Kyle Stavish, friend of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Matthew Via and Brian and Alex Cooper, cousins of the bride, and Corey Heinz, Brian Wise and Jeffrey Jarrett, friends of the groom.

A reception was held in the Orchard Park Country Club.

The couple will reside in Ocala, Fla., after honeymooning in Hawaii.
