Rebecca Briggs and Matthew Hubacher

Janet and Bruce Briggs of Batavia announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Briggs, to Matthew Hubacher, son of Cindy and Roger Hubacher of Wheatfield.

Miss Briggs is a 1996 graduate of Batavia High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Geneseo State College in 2000. She is a consultant.

Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of Canisius High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Niagara University in 2002. He is a research specialist.

An April 2008 wedding is planned.
