A tragic fellow that Othello Shakespeare in Delaware Park ends the summer season with themes of treachery and jealousy when "Othello" is on stage Thursday, July 26 through Sunday, Aug. 19.

"Othello," directed by Saul Elkin, features New York City guest artist Jolie Garrett as Othello, Tim Newell as Iago, Rebecca Elkin as Desdemona, Christ Critelli as Casio and Eileen Dugan as Emilia. The cast is rounded out by Peter Meachum, Chris Young, Jim Maloy, Dan Walker and Chris Standart. Cited as a "must-see event," Shakespeare in Delaware Park reaches up to 50,000 audience members a season, and is celebrating its 32nd year of professional, free theater.
Performances are held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday on Shakespeare Hill in Delaware Park, next to Hoyt Lake behind the Rose Garden, off Lincoln Parkway, Buffalo.
