Renee Sima of Amherst was awarded the Laura Kelsey Camp Scholarship from the Chromatic Club of Buffalo based on her performance in the piano competition. She is a student of Shirley Chan and will attend summer piano camp at Houghton College. As the youngest winner of the scholarship in the history of the Chromatic Club, she will enter the seventh grade at Transit Middle School in the fall.

Pamicka Marinello of Williamsville and Jeff Wilson of Amherst, both students from studios of Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra members Claudia Hoca and Castellani Andriaccio, will be featured in Vio-Piaguitello's first solo recital for strings at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 at the Montante Cultural Center at Canisius College. Tickets will be available for $5 at the Montante Cultural Center on the day of the recital.
