HOUSE DESTROYED - East Amherst and Main-Transit firefighters assisted Harris Hill at a house fire early Friday morning at 8145 Sheridan Drive near Ledge Lane. A propane-fired roaster being used to cook a pig started a fire in an attached garage that spread quickly to the rest of the structure. All four members of the James Krier family escaped safely but damage was estimated at $150,000.
