Sean D. McManus and Evelyn R. Vento

Mary and Leonard Vento of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Capt. Evelyn Rose Vento, to Capt. Sean Dewitt McManus, son of Lois McManus of Freehold, N.Y., and Thomas McManus of Cairo, N.Y.

Miss Vento is a 1996 graduate of Lancaster High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology/pre-med from Canisius College in 2000 and graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine in 2004. She is a resident physician in the family practice/psychiatry program at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii.

Her fiance graduated from Cairo-Durham High School in 1995. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Canisius College in 1999. He is the company commander for Bravo Company with the 205th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

A July 2007 wedding is planned.
