Practice offers 'Quality Dental Care'

Flash those pearly whites after a visit to Kenmore Quality Dental Care, where the dentists pride themselves on their caring staff and teamwork, according to Dr. Robert LaCarrubba.

The practice, which is staffed by 10 dentists, operates out of three offices - 956 Kenmore Ave., 8875 Porter Road in Niagara Falls and 4927 Main St. in Amherst.

LaCarrubba, of East Amherst, said the offices accept most dental insurance and serve patients of all ages.

"Just the other day, I worked on a 99-year-old woman," he said, noting that patients have the ability to choose which practitioner they see.

The dentists do not specialize in one area of dentistry, providing most services except orthodontics, LaCarrubba said, noting that surgical procedures are performed at the office.

Patient rooms come equipped with digital radiology, which allows the dentist to take X-ray pictures of the patient's teeth and upload them to a computer nearby, thus visually explaining the procedure, LaCarrubba said. The machine also produces half the radiation of traditional X-rays.

Laser dentistry is also offered, so the patient doesn't have to endure an injection of anesthetic, said LaCarrubba, a 1996 graduate of the University at Buffalo.

LaCarrubba added that he is in the process of hiring one or two more dentists who will specialize in sleep dentistry, which enables patients to nap while the work is being done.

"Half of the people who do not go to the dentist don't go because they are afraid," LaCarrubba said. "If we can take the anxiety away, then we can take away some of the dental disease."

Quality Care Dentistry offers cleanings, bonding, cosmetic contouring and fillings, crowns and bridges, specialty dentures, grafts, implants, veneers, whitening, root canal therapy, extractions and flap surgery.
