Williamsville Farmer's

Market continues

The Williamsville Farmer's Market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Oct. 27 at the Williamsville Water Mill, 56 E. Spring St. Locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers will be available. Entertainment this week will be provided by Michael Meldrum & Family. UB to hold farmers market on South Campus

The University Community Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until Oct. 13 in the parking lot nort of Allen Hall on the University at Buffalo South Campus on Main Street near Kenmore Avenue. On sale will be fruits, vegetables, jellies and jams. For more information, call 645-2626.

Williamsville Lions Club

opens membership drive

The Williamsville Lions Club is opening their membership drive for the 2007 year. The Club provides financial assistance to many individuals and non profit organizations through various fund raising activities. Membership is open to men and women, who live or work in Amherst. Crafters wanted

for holiday craft show

Craft tables are available for the Williamsville PTSA Council's annual Holiday Craft Show. This year's event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2 at the Heim Elementary and Heim Middle schools. Cost is $45 per space for one day or $80 for both days. 'Zumba' offered

at Northeast YMCA

The Northeast Family Branch YMCA will offer, "Zumba," a workout based on Latin rhythms and dance, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays from now through Aug. 21 at the YMCA, 4433 Main St., Amherst. Classes are free for members and $50 for non-members. Call 839-2543.

Park School to offer

summer driver courses

The Park School of Buffalo will offer two driver education programs this summer with AAA Western and Central New York. The courses are offered Monday through Friday, now through July 30 and Aug. 1 through 24. The cost is $425 per student and students must be 16 or older and must possess a valid driver's license. The Ford Lords of Western New York will hold the 29th annual car show, with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 8 at the George F. Lamm Post, 962 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville. Breakfast will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served from noon to 4 p.m. Spectator admissions are $2, children 12 and younger are free. The Cub Scouts from Pack 455 will sell hot dogs from 10:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8 in front of Wal-Mart, 2055 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst. The money earned will support the boys and their activities and awards.

Fire & Ice fundraiser

Fire & Ice, a fundraiser to benefit the community programs of Western New York AmeriCorps and the Charles E. Burchfield Nature & Art Center, will take place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at the BNAC, 2001 Union Road, West Seneca. International sculptor Kenneth Payne and his team will pour molten iron into blocks of optically perfect ice while Threat Level Three, a free form jazz group provides musical accompaniment for the pyrotechnic event. Clarence Center

garden walk slated

The Clarence Center Community Association's fourth annual Garden Walk "Clarence Center in Color - After the Storm" will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 15. Registration will be at the Bank of Akron, 9470 Clarence Center Road. An Old Towne Trolley will be available to take the garden tours that require driving. The trolley will depart from Crossroads Books, 6010 Goodrich Road, at 12:15 and 2:15 p.m. A donation of $5.00 per person is requested.
