Lancaster-Depew Rotary Club to hold annual golf tourney

The Lancaster-Depew Rotary Club will hold its annual golf tournament at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at the Diamond Hawk Golf Course, 255 Sonwil Drive in Cheektowaga. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The tournament is one of the club's numerous fundraisers conducted throughout the year that allows the club to sponsor community projects. For $100, participants will enjoy a golf package that includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch, an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and prizes.

In addition, contests will be held which will include a hole-in-one, putting, longest drive and closest to the pin. For a $20 donation, participants can enter all of the contests, with a chance to win a new car or $500 cash, among other prizes.

The club is also seeking hole sponsors and golf-related prizes for the tournament. Hole sponsorships cost $100, which gets the sponsor a 16x16 sign displayed on a selected tee box.
