State grant for $2,000 to benefit Amherst Players

A $2,000 grant from the New York State Senate has been secured for the Amherst Players to assist with the programming of its 60th anniversary celebration and season.

The Amherst Players, one of the oldest community theaters in Western New York, was originally part of the Amherst School District's Adult Education Program but has become independent and incorporated. Shows take place at the Harlem Road Community Center.
