Benefit golf event features autographed sports memorabilia

The 11th annual Kevin Guest House Celebrity Golf Classic, hosted by Kevyn Adams of the Phoenix Coyotes, will be held beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16 at the Glen Oak Golf Course, 711 Smith Road, East Amherst.

Special guest for the event will be NHL Hall of Fame coach Scotty Bowman. Adams, who grew up in Clarence, won the 2006 Stanley Cup as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Kevin Guest House provides support and affordable accommodations for patients, outpatients and their loved ones receiving treatment at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo General Hospital and other area hospitals. Registration for the tournament

will begin at 10:45 a.m. followed by lunch. The shotgun start is set for noon. Following golf will be cocktails, a silent auction, dinner, awards and prizes.

The silent auction will feature a 1986-87 style Edmonton Oilers jersey autographed by Wayne Gretzky, and a Philadelphia Flyers jersey autographed by Peter Forsberg.

The cost is $150 per person for golf and cart, prizes and dinner or $50 per person for dinner only.
