Senior Citizens Foundation officers named

The Board of Directors of the Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation Inc., at its annual meeting on June 21, elected the following Amherst residents as new officers and directors and also re-elected board members for a second term.

Officers for the 2007-08 year are: Catharine M. Weiss, president; Steven D. Szubinski, vice president; Ruth Barone, secretary; and Keith R. Bookbinder, treasurer.

Outgoing President David J. Dengler was elected to a second term on the board, which expires in June 2010, as were Sheila C. Gillert, Weiss and Bookbinder.

Directors elected to their first term, also expiring in June 2010, are Edward F. McKee, David Pollack and Laurie Wachowiak, who is returning to the board after a one-year absence.

The following board members were elected to the Nominating Committee: Gillert, Dal Giuliani and William Smith.

Continuing members of the board of directors are: Dorothy Merrill, Helene Mesch, Robert Moses, Dirk Rabenold, Aida Sanchez, and Lionel Shub.
