INDUCTION - Rep. Thomas Reynolds, R-Amherst, center, was inducted into the volunteer civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force's New York Wing, Civil Air Patrol, on June 5. Present at the induction were Lt. Col. Charles Jones, deputy commander, Western New York Group; Major George Fillgrove, commander, WNY Group; Lt. Col. Andrew J. Liddle; and Lt. Col. Terry Le Feber. Reynolds served in the New York Air National Guard from 1970 to 1976. The Civil Air Patrol handles 95 percent of inland search and rescue missions, with approximately 75 lives saved each year.
