Golf tourney, auction set for Kevin Guest House

The Kevin Guest House will hold its 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic on Monday, July 16 at the Glen Oak Golf Course, 711 Smith Road, East Amherst.

Hosting the event will be Western New Yorker and Phoenix Coyotes member Kevyn Adams. Appearances will also be made by Scotty Bowman, Harry Neale and other hockey legends.

Registration and lunch will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at noon.

The format for the tournament is a four-person scramble. Prices start at $150 per golfer.

Following golf, an auction will be held featuring authentic game jerseys and sticks autographed by such players as Wayne Gretsky, Eric Staal, Cam Ward, Rod Brind'Amour, Peter Forsberg and Kevyn Adams. Also included in the auction will be golf apparel and equipment, gift baskets and gift certificates.

Located in the heart of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus on Ellicott Street, Kevin Guest House has the distinction of being the first hospitality house in the nation.

The house receives no financial support from any government entity and relies solely on lodging donations, gifts from businesses and individuals and special event fundraisers.
