Ford presides over final board meeting

      Eleven years ago, the Amherst Central Board of Education hired Dennis Ford as superintendent. On June 19, Ford presided over his final board meeting. Ford, who will retire on June 30, was one of several district personnel the board recognized.

      Robin Morace, a 2007 graduate of Amherst Central High School, has been awarded the Claudette Sorel Piano Scholarship by the Fredonia State College School of Music. He was also awarded the Fredonia Achievement Award. Morace will be majoring in music composition at Fredonia in the fall.
