Garage fire reported by neighbor on Elm Circle

Eggertsville Hose Company responded to a 2:19 a.m. fire at 2 Elm Circle on Monday.

A neighbor reported the detached garage was well-involved in a fire. Responding within a minute, the company, under direction of Chief Michael Boehm, requested Snyder Fire Department's Fast Team.

The fire was brought under control, and damage was estimated at $40,000 to the structure and two cars. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
